There are signs of aging in the face and neck area that cannot be treated with facial yoga, creams, or injections. Many women and men develop so-called “hamster cheeks” or “chubby cheeks” as they age. A double chin or even a turkey neck are also among the unsightly problem areas. These signs are particularly noticeable in photos: In pictures, you see yourself from unusual angles and are quite surprised to find that you look very different in profile than you do head-on.

When is facial liposuction appropriate?

• Chubby cheeks/hamster cheeks: The fat deposits around your cheeks are so extensive that your face looks puffy, your cheeks sag, and your facial contours are blurred.
• Double chin: Fat deposits in the chin area make the chin look flabby. This can make your face look chubby even if you're otherwise fairly slim.
• turkey neck: The term "turkey neck" refers to a condition in which the neck area has fat deposits and sagging, wrinkled skin. These are very deep, vertical skin folds.

Facial liposuction is appropriate when a targeted change in diet leading to weight loss, combined with facial exercises, does not produce visible results.

Facial Liposuction—How Does This Procedure Work?

If our surgeon, Dr. Karen Towmasjan, has decided together with you to perform liposuction on your cheeks or neck, the procedure will take place as follows:

First, a special liquid is injected into the problem areas. It loosens the fat cells from the tissue. The fat can then be suctioned out. Tiny incisions are made in the skin, through which the fat is suctioned out using a small cannula.

The procedure is already over! You will be given a compression bandage to wear for several weeks. This not only aids in healing but also helps the face, chin, and neck areas take on their natural shape.

Once the grease is removed, it won't come back!
