Look Fresher and More Youthful Thanks to a Facelift
Bags under the eyes, drooping eyebrows, wrinkles, and a sagging facial contour—these are the signs that time leaves behind. Gravity does the rest. And then there are the little lifestyle habits that further accelerate the aging process in the face and neck. Do you long for a youthful, fresh appearance and a new quality of life? When non-surgical methods prove ineffective, a facelift—optionally combined with a neck lift and brow lift—can help. Your surgeon at KT-Beauty, Dr. Karen Towmasjan, answers the most important questions about facelifts.
How long do the results of a facelift last?
The results of a facelift typically last about 10 years, depending on skin quality and subsequent skincare. Unfortunately, a facelift cannot last forever, as the aging process continues even after surgery. The quality of the connective tissue remains the same, so signs of aging will reappear after a few years. However, you can help make the results last longer by taking good care of your skin after the procedure and seeing your dermatologist regularly.
What is a minor facelift or mini-facelift?
The mini-lift is gaining popularity because it’s a relatively gentle way to start taking care of your facial skin early on—as early as your mid-to-late 30s. Unlike a traditional facelift, the mini-facelift (S-lift) is a less invasive procedure. It involves a cheek lift or lower facelift, in which the cheek area is lifted and tightened. This minor facelift is particularly suitable for younger patients with sagging cheeks or a double chin.
Does a facelift leave scars?
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to avoid scars entirely. However, we position the incisions so that the scars are hidden and virtually invisible: in the temple area, concealed by hair, along the hairline, or behind the earlobe or behind the ears.
Facelift Prices: How Much Does a Facelift Cost?
There is no set price for a facelift. The reason is quite simple: We consider each patient and their situation on an individual basis. Depending on the area being treated, we distinguish between upper, mid, and lower facelifts (neck lifts) as well as forehead lifts. The only way to determine which procedure is right for you, the extent of the cosmetic surgery, and the breakdown of the costs is through a consultation.
