When are breasts too big?

What happens during a breast reduction?

Before the actual surgery, you’ll have a detailed consultation during which you’ll receive a thorough explanation of the procedure. During breast reduction surgery, we remove excess breast fat, glandular tissue, and skin. The breast is reshaped and the nipple is repositioned. You’ll see the final results of the breast reduction after 6 to 12 months, once the swelling has subsided and the area has healed completely.

When can you start exercising again after breast reduction surgery?

After breast reduction surgery, you will wear a special support bra for 6–8 weeks; after that, you should be able to switch back to regular underwear. You can resume exercise after 2 weeks and return to strenuous activities after about 4 weeks.
