The decision has been made, and you know exactly what you want: A Liposuction with body contouring or a Breast Augmentation or a Facelift. Whatever it is—you need a professional! After all, cosmetic surgery is nothing more than a surgical procedure, and it should be performed by the best of the best. So how do you find a professional in this field? Here are a few tips:

Directories of doctors, review sites, and online research

Googling always helps. These days, every good surgeon has a website where you can get an initial sense of the team and the clinic. Trust your gut: If the surgeon seems friendly and competent to you, feel free to schedule an introductory appointment. You can also use platforms like Jameda or Google Reviews to get an initial impression.

Personal Recommendations

Word of mouth always works. Just make sure that your girlfriend's surgeon is actually a good fit for you. Below, you'll find tips on how to best prepare for your first consultation with the cosmetic surgeon.

Social Media

Instagram and other social media platforms offer a great way to get a first impression of a surgeon’s expertise. Before-and-after photos are helpful, as are informative posts where you can learn more about the practice and procedures.

How should you prepare for your consultation with the surgeon of your choice?

• Write down all your questions in advance.
• Take your time and ask all your questions—even the uncomfortable ones.
• If you have any further questions after the meeting, please schedule another appointment or call us.
• You have the right to seek second medical opinions.
• In addition to the surgeon's professionalism, make sure that you „click“ with them. You should have complete trust in your surgeon.

Is getting cosmetic surgery abroad always a good idea?

Many foreign colleagues, especially in Eastern European countries, lure patients with low-cost offers and multiple procedures. If you choose to see a cosmetic surgeon abroad, please be very vigilant.

• Please note that medical standards are not as high everywhere as they are here in Germany. At KT-Beauty, we offer many Corrective Surgery to correct mistakes made by colleagues from other countries.
• Having multiple surgeries at once isn't a good idea! Many cosmetic surgeries result in (extensive) wounds, and the body simply needs time to heal. Ideally, there should be several months between surgeries.
• Combining a vacation with cosmetic surgery in a hot country is not a good idea. After cosmetic surgery, you should take it easy and engage in moderate physical activity later on to promote healing. Exposing yourself to high temperatures or direct sunlight is a bad idea.
